About YouByYou Books

Hello. I started YouByYou Books in 2003 and have brought together a team of writers, editors and designers to produce our range of life stories and local history books.
Before YouByYou I worked as a journalist and editor for 20 years. As I enjoyed interviewing people, it seemed a natural step to go into life-story writing.
I also have an MA in Publishing, so can offer experience in editing and production.
The Team
Alan Copps, former Times journalist, edits and proofreads YouByYou titles.
Alison Renno, magazine and book designer. Credits include Forty years a potter, Dorothy Watson and The Bridge Pottery, 1921-1961.
Laetitia Barnes, artist and book designer. Credits include From Ships to Sheep, the Story of Smallhythe.
Kate Chitham, artist and graphics designer. Credits include the cover for Biddenden in Pictures.
Stephanie Boucher of Applegreen Websites looks after all things technical.
We also bring in copyright specialists, photographers and other publishing experts.
Our printers work to all formats and sizes. Top quality papers are used, and we also offer a specialist leather-binding service for bespoke projects.
Please contact us for an informal chat about your project.
