David Bower was a normal, happy child until the age of three when he developed a rare bacterial infection and an emergency operation went tragically wrong. David was left blind and quadriplegic. His mother, Joan, has written a compelling account of David’s life until he died aged 24. This book charts David’s illness and his mother’s struggle to come to terms with it. Joan’s faith underpins many of her thoughts and hopes.
